If you're jealous, you usually have
trust issues in the relationship. They just seem to go hand
in hand. As you work on healing your jealousy, you will
begin to start trusting more.
Before you can begin to overcome jealousy, you have to
determine whether there's just cause for your feelings or
not.
You have to separate what's
happening in this relationship from what happened in
previous ones. You have to figure out if your jealousy with
this partner is justified or not.
Jealousy is normal but constant
jealousy that is unfounded can break up relationships.
If your partner's behavior suggests
that you need to set a boundary with him or her and your
jealousy is a sign that something's happening that is not
healthy for your relationship, set your boundary.
If your partner isn't doing anything to
provoke jealousy but you are still jealous, take steps
toward healing it.
These steps might include learning how
to change your thoughts from ones that are not true about
the present moment to ones that are true.
You might learn how to deal with your
jealousy in social situations if that is a trigger for you.
Know that you can heal your jealous
behavior and thoughts.
